Schoonhoven To Attend Dordt College

(Tuesday, March 18; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Logan Schoonhoven, a senior at Unity Christian High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football program.

Schoonhoven rushed for 444 yards and scored three touchdowns on 88 carries in 2013 and had 24 solo tackles and four tackles for loss at linebacker.  In 2012 Schoonhoven ran for 395 yards on 65 carries and was in on 69 tackles, six for loss and two quarterback sacks.  Schoonhoven is listed 6-3, 215 pounds.

Logan is the son of Mike and Donna Schoonhoven of Hospers, Iowa.  He plans to study pre-physical therapy at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
