Ellis Added To Dordt Football

(Tuesday, April 15; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Jason Ellis, a senior at Katy High School (Texas), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football program.

Ellis had 71 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, four sacks and three fumble recoveries and an interception while helping Katy to a 2012 state football title and a 2013 state title runner-up finish.  He was named honorable mention all-district and was the most improved defensive player in 2013.  Ellis is listed as a 5-11, 205 pound linebacker.

Jason is the son of Erin and Joel Ellis of Katy, Texas.  He plans to study criminal justice or engineering at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
