Broker To Join Defender Football Program

(Monday, May 5; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Eric Broker, a senior at Ripon Christian High School (California), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football program.

Broker totaled 74 solo tackles and 154 total tackles on the defensive line  with 9.5 quarterback sacks.  On offense he helped block for a rushing attack that gained 3,813 yards in 2013 and 2014.  He was a first team all-league pick in 2012 and 2013 and was chosen to compete in the North-South Rotary All-Star game.  Broker is listed 6-1, 220 pounds.

Eric is the son of Beau and Heidi Broker of Ripon, California.  He plans to study criminal justice at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
