Trammell To Join Defender Programs

(Monday, May 5; Sioux Center, Iowa)  P. J. Trammell, a senior at West Ottawa High School (Michigan), has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football and basketball programs.

Trammell, has played defensive back, wide receiver and running back for West Ottawa and claimed all-conference honors for the 2013 season and honorable mention all-Holland Sentinel accolades.  He was a two-year starter in football.

A 5-9, 170 pound athlete, Trammel was a three-year basketball starter and averaged 15.2 points, 4.6 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals per contest during his career.    He was an all-conference pick this year in basketball and was a first-team all-Holland Sentinel selection in 2014.

P. J. is the son of Shawn and Sandy Trammell of Holland, Michigan.  He plans to study business at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
