Smith To Run At Dordt College

(Monday, May 12; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Jonathon Smith has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender track and cross country programs. 

Smith ran for Cedar Falls High School (Iowa) and placed 18th in the 2013 Class 4A Iowa State Cross Country Meet with a time of 15:56.  His personal best on a 5,000 meter cross country course is 15:47. 9:44 in the 3,200 during track and field.

Jonathon is the son of Joe and Amy Smith of Cedar Falls, Iowa.  He plans to study engineering at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
