IDEAS 2014

IDEAS will take place June 15-19, 2015

IDEAS (Investigating, Discovering, and Excelling in Academics and Service) is a series of five-day academic camps for high school students to explore an area of interest: computer science, mathematics/statistics, media, mock trial, or theatre arts. Each individual camp is designed to give a college-level experience investigating each particular field. IDEAS provides a look into career options and college plans for those considering a future in these areas of study.

With fun explorations and activities to make each day a great experience, IDEAS is perfect for anyone interested in an excellent way to spend a week of summer!

Detailed information about the program, the camps, and the application process are provided to the right under "Dig Deeper." Top preference will be given to those who apply by January 31, 2015, so please apply as soon as possible.

What former participants are saying:

"I really like the atmosphere at Dordt. It was good to meet people from all over the country who are interested in the same things I am. I've also enjoyed being able to work hard during the day digging into questions, but being able to enjoy many fun activities in the evenings."

"The actual class time activities were pretty cool and gave a good understanding of what happens in that field of study."

"I really enjoyed the activity on mathematical modeling. It is a career that I had not heard of before and I am now considering it."

"Learning new things and challenging myself and my knowledge in different situations was great. I enjoyed meeting people with similar interests and values, as well as talking to the professors."
