Dan Beerens

Dan Beerens is an educational consultant (DB Consulting) author, international speaker, and educational leader. He is the author of “Evaluating Teachers for Professional Growth: Creating a Culture of Motivation and Learning” published by Corwin Press in January 2000. Dan served as the 2007 president of the Midwest Christian Educators Association and also served as a board member of the Kuyers Institute for Christian Teaching and Learning at Calvin College.

Mary Kooy

Mary Kooy is a professor in the Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) of the University of Toronto in Graduate Programs. She teaches graduate courses in communities of learning, teacher induction, curriculum innovation in teacher education, and improving teaching through learning. Her research and publications focus on teacher learning and professional development in social contexts.

Finn Laursen

Finn Laursen is executive director of Christian Educators Association International. CEAI is a professional association for Christian educators in both the public and private schools. Most of its members are in public schools, and they are the only association specifically serving Christian educators in public schools and have done so since 1953. Their focus is to encourage, equip, and empower Christian educators to make a positive impact in the schools where they serve.

Ray Pennings is Senior Fellow and Director of Research at Cardus.  He has been involved in the creation and building of Cardus as an emerging think-tank of influence focused on the renewal of social architecture. He has contributed to seven books, hundreds of journal articles, and you can find his opinions regularly shared through public policy punditry in newspaper, radio, and television
appearances across Canada.  Ray is regularly called upon to advise organization leaders, company CEOs and political leader
Ray Pennings

Ray Pennings is senior fellow and director of research at Cardus. He has been involved in the creation and building of Cardus as an emerging think-tank of influence focused on the renewal of social architecture. In addition to providing overall leadership to Cardus’ research and publication program, Ray has been provided hands-on leadership to the Cardus study on outcomes of Christian education.
