Academic and Professional Interests: Hunger, social welfare policy, political advocacy and promoting social justice issues within faith communities. One of the most meaningful things about social work to me is being able to do as a professional what God calls us all to: "Learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow." [Isaiah 1:17]
