Since completing his Ph.D. in Statistics in 2005, Dr. Tintle has been the primary mentor for over 75 undergraduate students in extended summer and/or academic year research projects in statistics, with the bulk of these students conducting research in statistical genetics and biostatistics. Dr. Tintle is also active in the development of novel curricular materials and pedagogical strategies in undergraduate statistics education. The first edition of Introduction to Statistical Investigations was recently published. Dr. Tintle has received numerous federal and private grants to fund his research, awards for his research and mentoring of undergraduate students, published numerous peer-reviewed research articles and has served on numerous national service committees in the areas of statistics education and statistical genetics.
