Bronze award for Prairie Grass Film Challenge

The Prairie Grass Film Challenge and Dordt College received a bronze award at this year’s CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) District IV awards program, held at a convention in Denver, CO, in January.

The third place bronze award for Excellence in Graphic Design was presented to the college for materials promoting the Prairie Grass Film Challenge, an annual competition for student film makers sponsored by Dordt’s digital media production company. Jamin Ver Velde, graphic designer for Dordt College, worked with Mark Volkers, digital media production instructor at Dordt College, and the Prairie Grass Film Challenge committee in creating a Prairie Grass logo, posters, promotional mailings, t shirts, and other materials for the event.

CASE is the professional organization for advancement professionals who work in alumni relations, communications, and development, with membership including more than 3,200 educational institutions in 55 countries around the world. Annually, more than 600 institutions participate in the Circle of Excellence Awards Program, where categories include public and media relations, periodicals, publications, electronic media, design, and photography.
