Click Rain Shares Webby Glory

April 20, 2011

Click Rain Project Honored with Webby Award

Honoree_black_high When it comes to recognition in the online space, the Webby Awards are at the top of the pile.  Of the nearly 10,000 entries submitted to the 15th Annual Webby Awards this past year, fewer than 10% were distinguished as an Official Honoree. This honor signifies an outstanding caliber of work. So, we were more than stoked to have played a part in a Webby winning entry this year.

Click Rain had the chance to partner with Mission India and Prairie Grass Productions to produce the website that housed the "My Passport to India" web video series.  Dordt College graduate Josh Visser ('98) pulled together a small cadre of fellow Dordt alums, including Paul Ten Haken ('00) to bring the web series to life.  Click Rain is very proud to have played a part in helping to educate kids on "the real India".  The site featured a robust CMS that allowed Mission India staff to roll out the webisodes over time, update videos, add companion content, and control all aspects of the video releases. It turned out to be a truly phenomenal web series - be sure to give it a look.

Big props to Mark Volkers at Prairie Grass Productions and Josh with Mission India for bringing this vision to life, and for taking us along for the ride!
