Dordt No. 15 In Poll

(Tuesday, February 5; Sioux Center, Iowa) For the second week in a row the Dordt College Defender men’s basketball team is no. 15 in the NAIA Division II National Coaches’ Poll voted on by 13 coaches.  The Defenders are 20-6 this season and split their two games last week, a 89-87 overtime loss on the road to no. 5 Northwestern and a 79-76 win over Hastings.

The Defenders earned 191 points in the polling and are one of three GPAC teams in the poll with Northwestern holding at no. 5 and Doane is no. 17, down one spot after losing their only game of the week.  Hastings is in the receiving votes category of the poll.

Dordt will host Dakota Wesleyan on Wednesday night, February 6 before traveling to Concordia on Saturday, February 9 for their final regular season road game of the season.
