Manus Picks Dordt College

November 27, 2013

(Wednesday, November 27; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Teagan Manus, a senior at Ripon Christian High School (California), has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender women’s basketball program.

Manus, a 5-9 point guard, averaged 13.4 points, 4.7 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 3.3 steals per game last season while earning CIF-Southern League MVP honors.  She made 50 percent of her three-point field goal attempts and 44 percent of her field goal attempts.  A multi-sport athlete, Manus also plays volleyball and soccer for Ripon Christian.

“Teagan is a great athlete with tremendous basketball skills and instincts.  Her combination of speed, ballhandling and shooting allow her to play very fast and that translates very well to the college game.  We are very excited that she will be joining us next year,” said Dordt College women’s basketball coach Craig Stiemsma.

Teagan is the daughter of Kerry and Jennifer Manus of Stockton, California.
