Riley to Join Defender Men's Soccer

Caleb Riley, a 2013 graduate of Mount Vernon Christian High School, has announced his intention to attend Dordt College next year and join the Defender men’s soccer program.
Riley is a 6’3”, 180 pound forward and midfielder that helped the Mount Vernon Christian Hurricanes to a fourth place finish in the state tournament and a league championship in 2012. Riley tallied 54 goals and 38 assists in his high school career and in 2012 was named a First Team All-State forward and the Northwest Division 1 and 2 Player of the Year.
Riley also competed in the club setting for Northwest United from 2009-2012.
Riley is currently involved with Youth With a Mission. He spent three months at a discipleship training school in Reykjavik, Iceland and on January 1st his team of seven moved to St. Petersburg, Russia for 2 1/2 months of outreach where they will be working with inner city children's programs and “getting involved wherever the Lord leads”.
Caleb is the son of David and Jeri Riley of Mount Vernon, Washington and he plans to study Health and Human Performance at Dordt College.
Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
U.S. News & World Report, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
