Williams To Join Defender Foootball Program

(Tuesday, May 13; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Andre Williams Jr., a student at Grossmont College, has announced his intention to enroll at Dordt College and join the Defender football program.

Williams, a 5-6, 175 pound running back, ran for 650 yards in his senior season at Madison High School (California) and scored six touchdowns and won the Coaches’ Hard Work Award.

Andre is the son of Carmel Williams of San Diego, California.  He plans to study criminal justice at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
