Accounts Payable Clerk

Dordt College is seeking a professional, self-starter to serve as an Accounts Payable Clerk. This individual would be responsible for processing invoices for payment to college vendors. This position is 50% of full-time or approximately 20 hours per week year round.

The individual in this position will review invoices, verify appropriate documentation and approval, enter data, and answer questions from employees and vendors. In addition, this individual will proof and prepare bank deposits and occasionally assist students at the front counter.

An Associateís degree and 2-4 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training is required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates should have strong math and accounting skills, along with verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills including word processing, the ability to use spreadsheets, and familiarity with e-mail and database records is required. Custodian - Part Time

Dordt College has a part-time opening for a Custodian. This job would be for 20-25 hours per week during the school year (August 1-May 15) with minimal summer hours. Ideal hours would be mornings with a flexible start time (ex: 5 a.m. Ė 9 a.m. or 6 a.m. - 10 a.m.). Some weekend hours may also be required when there are campus events to prep or clean up after.

Responsibilities of this position include maintaining and cleaning campus facilities. Duties include general maintenance and housekeeping, managing student workers to assist with daily tasks and set up needs, and arranging support equipment and seating for special events.

Qualifications include a basic knowledge of housekeeping and maintenance equipment, physical skills necessary for carrying supplies and moving equipment (up to 50 pounds), planning and scheduling skills, and verbal communication and leadership skills needed for overseeing student workers. The individual in this position must be self-motivated and have the ability to work without direct supervision.

Electronic Resources and Reference Librarian

Dordt College is seeking a professional self-starter to serve as an Electronic Resources and Reference Librarian. This individual will manage the libraryís electronic resources and provide reference service to faculty, staff, and students of the Dordt College community. This is a full-time position, however, consideration will be given to those interested in a part-time position of 75% or more of full-time (or approx. 1,560 hours/year).

This individual will maintain the libraryís electronic resources, work with vendors/publishers in licensing and troubleshooting, and collect resource usage statistics. In addition, the individual will provide library support for faculty research and teaching.

Experience with electronic resources in a library setting and knowledge of current and emerging technologies as they relate to library services is required. A bachelorís degree is required, and a masterís degree in librarianship from an American Library Association-accredited institution is preferred. Candidates should have effective communication and listening skills along with the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

KDCR Station Manager & Audio Operations Leader

Dordt College is seeking an individual to lead the successful 24/7/365 operation of the college media station which currently includes audio broadcasting, with both terrestrial and web-enabled signals under the KDCR Radio banner. Professional-Technical Education Program Enrollment Coordinator

Dordt College is seeking a professional self-starter to serve as Enrollment Coordinator for the Professional Ė Technical Education program. This individual will
present the newly created Professional-Technical Education program to prospective students and parents.

This individual will manage recruitment and enrollment for the Pro-Tech program and assist with the development and implementation of a coordinated marketing strategy. Duties will include making visits to high schools, businesses, and churches to build relationships, visiting with prospective students, and contacting students through phone calls, texts, emails, and letters. In addition, this individual will visit businesses to develop relationships with internship and employment providers and develop and manage events to recruit Pro-Tech students.

An Associateís degree is required. A Bachelorís degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Agriculture and/or manufacturing experience or knowledge is desired. Experience in marketing, public relations, or sales is preferred but not essential. An individual who is entrepreneurial, innovative, and highly self-motivated is sought. Strong organizational, communication skills and a willingness to do extensive travel is required.
