Copy Center Mail Clerk

Dordt College is seeking a Copy Center Mail Clerk. Part-time/ full-time/or a job-share option may be available for this position. This position provides mail service to all faculty, staff, and students by processing both incoming and outgoing campus mail. Duties include daily postmarking, distribution, and collection of all campus mail, maintaining accurate records, reports, and account charges as well as supervising several work-study students.

Candidates should possess basic mathematical and organizational skills, along with the ability to learn the use of computerized postage machines. Some manual and physical skills including the ability to lift weights of up to 50 pounds are required for this position. Some supervisory skills are also desired to supervise and coordinate work for student employees. Great interpersonal skills and an ability to work independently and as a part of a team are desired.

Director of Marketing & Communication

Dordt College is seeking a full-time Director of Marketing and Communication. This individual will lead coordination of successful campus-wide efforts to present the collegeís image and voice. The successful candidate will direct the collegeís marketing staff while developing and managing an integrated, institution-wide marketing program.

This individual will serve as the collegeís public relations/media point person; establish and maintain relationships with contacts in local, regional, and national media outlets; plan and oversee feature articles and special reports for news media and for use in various college publications; direct web and social media presence; and supervise the use of Dordt College graphic imaging.

A Bachelorís degree is required and a graduate degree is preferred. Administrative experience in public relations and marketing communication is required as well as excellent organizational, communication skills, and mature interpersonal skills.

Application Procedure

Webmaster

The Computer Services Department at Dordt College is seeking someone to fill the full-time position of Webmaster. This individual will be primarily responsible for all web development at the college. Responsibilities include developing external web pages, as well as internal and affiliate web pages.

A Bachelorís degree in Computer Science or a related field is desired, as well as experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript and scripting languages. Candidates should have experience in a UNIX or Windows environment, as well as strong understanding of web-based applications. Drupal experience is strongly preferred. Good communication skills are required. The successful candidate will be a team player, capable of meeting deadlines while working with a wide range of customer expectations and skills.
