The advancement office sponsors several special events each year:
Civil War Staff Ride—(July 9-12, 2014). This interactive Civil War history adventure is based on a military leadership model called the staff ride. Rather than a simple tour, the staff ride allows you to participate in the unfolding of history. You’ll see the battle through the eyes of the participants as you walk in their footsteps across the battlefields of Wilson’s Creek, Missouri, and Pea Ridge, Arkansas.
Defender Days—(October) This gathering of alumni and family offers the opportunity to get acquainted with the campus, meet professors, and enjoy recreational activities together. Each fall more than 1,000 guests take advantage of this opportunity to attend a music festival, theatre production, sporting events, classes, and enjoy special meals with the students.
Day of Encouragement—(February) This annual day-long event is designed to inspire, encourage, and equip God's people for ministry.
Dordt Discovery Days—(Last full week in June) Discovery Days is a great combination of learning and fun for students entering 7th, 8th, or 9th grade. Each Discovery Days week offers more than 30 courses for youth with a wide range of interests, including engineering, art, drama, music and sports.
