From the energy of walking to class and seeing friendly faces to the feel of worshipping together at our student-led praise and worship. There are some things you just have to experience in person. We encourage all prospective students to visit campus. It's simply the best way to discover if Dordt is the school for you.

Defender Fridays

Defender Fridays are an engaging visit experience for prospective students. Visitors will meet our admissions counselors, professors, coaches, and directors to explore their programs of interest and co-curricular goals on a deeper level. The Defender Friday experience takes you a step further by immersing you into campus life as you hear different voices across campus, from students to support staff. The best part? Having the opportunity to connect with other students who are also considering Dordt! Find a date that works best for you and register to attend!

Weekday Visits

Need more flexibility? During the school year, we offer small group, weekday visits on Monday afternoons starting at 1 p.m., and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays starting at 9 a.m. or 1 p.m. Each visit will include a tour of campus, a visit with a professor from your desired major (if available), and a meeting with an admissions counselor.

The length of your visit will vary depending on how many appointments you request. Chapel attendance is also included during a Wednesday visit when possible. If you have specific time restrictions please let us know before you arrive on campus. We look forward to showing you around!

Schedule a Weekday Visit

Travel Reimbursement

If students do a full campus visit during Dordt's academic year—which includes a tour, visits with professors, and meeting with Admissions, we will be happy to provide a one-time travel reimbursement.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any travel reimbursement for summer visits.

Flight Reimbursement

If a prospective student flies to visit campus and does not need Dordt to provide airport transportation, we will reimburse $300. If Dordt needs to provide airport transportation, we will reimburse $200. This money will be paid on the day of your visit. If you need transportation from the airport, we only offer that from the Sioux City, IA and Sioux Falls, SD airports. We do not offer transportation from the Omaha airport.

Driving (Miles) Reimbursement

When students drive to campus, we will also off the following reimbursement: This will be paid to you during the wrap-up of your visit day.

  • 200-399 miles from Dordt: $25
  • 400-599 miles from Dordt: $50
  • 600-799 miles from Dordt: $75
  • 800+ miles from Dordt: $100
