A Christmas singles features members of Dordt's community
Alex Priore, campus media and worship arts technical director at Dordt University, has released a new arrangement of “Angels We Have Heard on High,” featuring Dordt faculty, staff, and a student. The single is available on Spotify and YouTube.
“What started as a duet between Alex and me quickly became an interdepartmental collaboration,” says Dr. Jeremy Perigo, director of campus ministries and worship arts. “I think this fresh arrangement feels like the diverse, indie instrumentation of Sufjan Stevens meets the passion of modern worship at Christmas.”
The recording includes:
“It was exciting to work on this year’s Christmas song at Dordt. It has been a privilege to see the creative ability of the faculty, students, and staff demonstrated in such an unmistakable way,” says Priore.
Priore has produced several Christmas albums over the past eight years and enjoys creating collaborative musical experiences with her friends and surrounding community.
“We are more creative when we work together,” says Priore. “We make something that could not have been done alone. Together we make something excellent for the glory of God.”
