
Dordt hockey coach Tyler Morgan named MACHA Coach of the Year
Dordt University Hockey Coach Tyler Morgan has been named Mid America College Hockey Association (MACHA) Conference Coach of the Year.
Dordt University junior Zach Espenson, a defenseman from Windom, Minnesota, earned a spot on the Mid American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA) all-conference team.
Zach Espenson, a Dordt University junior from Windom, Minnesota, has been named a defensemen on the Mid American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA)'s all-conference hockey team.
Espenson scored 10 goals and had 19 assists and averaged 1.04 points per game for a team that finished that won the postseason tournament title and advanced to the ACHA National Tournament for the first time since 2010. Espenson has 35 career goals and 45 career assists while helping Dordt to a 58-14-2 record over the last three seasons.
Espenson was part of a defense that helped Dordt outscore teams 153-79 this season and have a 23-4-1 record entering national tournament competition on March 18.
