Dordt Hosts Test Iowa Site for Students

Dordt will host a Test Iowa site specifically for students.

Dordt University will host a small Test Iowa site on campus specifically for Dordt students.

“We have a great partnership with Sioux Center Health, the Iowa Governor’s office, and Test Iowa,” says Robert Taylor, vice president for student success. “This will make testing more accessible to our students, which is a hallmark of successful reopening plans.”

Taylor says that Dordt will surveillance test early arrival students—testing a percentage of the campus population. When the whole student body arrives, Dordt will test symptomatic students while remaining prepared to deploy surveillance testing if advised to do so by our health partners including Sioux Center Health, Iowa Department of Public Health, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Employees and local community members are encouraged to get tests through the Test Iowa site in Le Mars or through their local health care provider.

As an institution of higher education committed to the Reformed Christian perspective, Dordt University equips students, faculty, alumni, and the broader community to work toward Christ-centered renewal in all aspects of contemporary life. For four years in a row, Dordt has been named number one in the nation for student engagement by The Wall Street Journal and Times Higher Education. Located in Sioux Center, Iowa, Dordt is a comprehensive university named to the best college lists by U.S. News and World Report, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review.
