Dordt to host First Mondays Speaker
Reverend Dr. Matthew Kaemingk, a Christian ethicist and public theologian, will present "Reconnecting Work and Worship" on Monday, September 4 at 11 a.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium.
Come and enjoy an evening of organ and trumpet on September 2 at 7:30 p.m.
Dordt University’s Music Department is presenting an organ and trumpet recital on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. The recital will feature Dr. Carrie Groenewold, associate professor of church music and organ, and Richard Neckermann on trumpet.
The evening will feature a variety of works for trumpet and organ, as well as some solo organ repertoire, including the opening movement of the "Trumpet Concerto in E-flat" by Johann Baptist Neruda, the "lush Prière (“Prayer”)" by César Franck, and musical depictions of several paintings of Edvard Munch by living composer Anthony Plog.
The evening will conclude with a public reception in the lobby.
