Results from Dorst University Math Bee
Dordt University is proud to release the results of the 2021 Math Bee. The event, which usually takes place on Dordt’s campus, was held virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite what some would consider a setback, the event was a success with 319 students and 66 teams participating in the event.
“Given the uncertainty with Covid-19, we shifted to a virtual math bee. A neat aspect is that a few schools from farther away including Canada joined in,” Dr. Valorie Zonnefeld, associate mathematics professor, says.
Individuals who won first or second place received water bottles, and the top four teams from each grade received a trophy.

Zonnefeld adds, “I love the math bee because it gives kids with an interest in math the opportunity to challenge themselves and to value their passion for math.”
