Dordt University will add women's and men's swimming to its varsity athletics offerings, beginning in Fall 2024.
“We have spent much time studying additional sports offerings very closely, and I am happy to announce we will be offering swimming to our athletic department. Swimming fits well within Dordt’s framework and I look forward to developing a competitive program that will also develop students’ faith, academics, and leadership. The All Seasons Center will make a great home for the program and we look forward to utilizing it fully as we build this program,” said Ross Douma, Dordt’s Director of Athletics.
Dordt joins fellow Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) members College of Saint Mary, Jamestown College, Midland University, and Morningside University offering swimming. Those four schools compete in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
