Dordt University will host two evening concerts in the B.J. Haan Auditorium to celebrate the Christmas season and the conclusion of the fall semester. The Choral Department will perform Born Thy People to Deliver on Friday, December 6, while the Instrumental Ensembles will present their final concert of the semester on Saturday, December 7.
Dordt University invites the community to enjoy two festive performances showcasing the musical talents of the institution’s choral and instrumental ensembles. These concerts, held on consecutive evenings in the B.J. Haan Auditorium, celebrate the Christmas season and the conclusion of the fall semester.
The Dordt Choral Department will present “Born Thy People to Deliver,” a Christmas choral concert on Friday, December 6 at 7 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. This concert will feature Bella Voce women’s chorus, Canons of Dordt men’s chorus, Chorale, and Concert Choir. The choirs will share a wide range of repertoire contemplating and celebrating the coming of the Christ child in old ways and new. Joining the choirs will be several instrumental collaborators including piano, organ, percussion, and brass. The concert will be available on livestream at www.dordt.edu/live-events.
