Dordt University unveils new bike jersey to unite Defender cyclists
Dordt University is launching a new branded cycling jersey to unite Defender cyclists nationwide, with good timing as RAGBRAI kicks off in nearby Orange City this summer.
Dordt University has partnered with Emmaus University to provide students with an accelerated pathway to earning their Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.
Dordt University’s Master of Social Work (MSW) program has partnered with Emmaus University in Dubuque, IA. This partnership offers students in Emmaus' counseling psychology program the opportunity to waive credits, expediting their pathway to completing an MSW program.
Jessica Pape, professor of counseling psychology at Emmaus, believes this partnership will be valuable to students in many ways. “Students who have found that they benefited from a Christian perspective to their courses at Emmaus will be able to have a similar opportunity while studying at Dordt,” she says. “They will also have the added benefit of saving on tuition and time, allowing them to get into practicing in the field much quicker.”
In addition, Dordt’s MSW program is available fully online, making it accessible to students anywhere in the world. This flexible format ensures that students can receive a high-quality education while benefiting from the expertise and support of dedicated faculty, no matter where they are located.
With a shared vision for Christ-centered social work, the collaboration between Dordt and Emmaus strengthens the mission of training students to make a lasting difference in their work. “Social work is an opportunity for graduates from Emmaus and Dordt to serve communities in the name of Jesus, living out our shared commitment to bring compassion, justice, and care to those in need,” says Joe Bakker, dean for online, graduate, and partner programs at Dordt.
“We know that this partnership will help to put the best students out into a world that desperately needs their care, support, and expertise,” adds Pape.
Dordt’s MSW program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and approved by the Higher Learning Commission.
