Dr. Brette Feldhacker serves as an assistant professor of biology at Dordt University. Dr. Feldhacker owns Siouxland Equine in Sioux Center; her work in veterinary science has provided her with real-world experiences in anatomy and physiology.
Dr. Feldhacker became interested in teaching when Dordt students would job shadow her during veterinary appointments.
“I enjoyed their enthusiasm for learning and eagerness to gain hands-on skills, so was interested in spending more time with students in an educational capacity,” Dr. Feldhacker says.
She previously taught in the Biology Department as an adjunct professor. She also interned at Rood & Riddle E quine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
