Sandy De Groot serves as a Student Employment Assistant at Dordt University. Her primary role within this department is assisting Kyle Achterhoff, the Director of Student Employment. Sandy has been involved as an Administrative Assistant for the past 30+ years employed by Ripon Christian Elementary School, Kids Alive International, and Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Dordt University and early in her career she taught general music at Sheldon Christian Elementary School. She has also directed church choirs and taught private piano lessons for 14 years. Sandy enjoys working with students on an individual basis as they discover their gifts and learn the importance of working as a team member in their place of employment on campus. Sandy feels fortunate to be part of the staff at her alma mater.
